Colley Ison Gallery collects, uses and is responsible for certain information about you.

This privacy policy explains how and why we use your personal data, your rights in relation to your personal information and how to contact us and supervisory authorities in the event you have a complaint. Customer data
Colley Ison Gallery, will never sell, share, or rent your personal details to third parties for any purpose other than those disclosed in this policy and never without first asking your permission.  Any information we collect is processed and stored as per the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation.

Personal data we collect and use
Your personal data (any information which identifies you, or which can be identified as relating to you personally for example, name, address, phone number, email address) will be collected and used by us but only once personally provided by you. We’ll only collect the personal data that we need.

In the course of our relationship with you we collect the following personal data when you provide it to us:

  • Contact details that you provide to us, including name, telephone number, email address, postal address
  • Information about your art interests
  • Notes on your interactions and conversations with us
  • Notes on any orders or agreements that you establish with us

  • Otherwise restrict our processing of your personal information in certain circumstances

Keeping your personal information secure
We have appropriate security measures in place to prevent personal information from being accidentally lost, or used or accessed in an unauthorised way. We limit access to your personal information to those who have a genuine business need to know it. Those processing your information will do so only in an authorised manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We also have procedures in place to deal with any suspected data security breach. We will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected data security breach where we are legally required to do so.

How long your personal information will be kept
We will retain your personal information for a number of purposes, as necessary to allow us to carry out our business. Your information will be kept for up to 7 years on our main systems, after which time it will be archived, deleted or anonymised. Some of the archived information may be kept for up to 50 years for the purposes of provenance and record keeping relating specifically to the nature of our business fine art. Any retention of personal data will be done in compliance with legal and regulatory obligations and with industry standards.
